Summer Storm Approaching Albuquerque, NM
Storm approaching Albuquerque, NM.
A storm came in after taking the tram to the top of the Sandia Peak. The trams shutdown whenever there is lightning in the area so that called for a nice long dinner in the restaurant to wait it out. This shot was taken from the observation deck moments before it drenched Albuquerque and the mountains. Sandia Peak is 10,378 feet and has a panoramic view said to be 11,000 square-miles of the Rio Grande Valley and the Land of Enchantment.
